     Mary Garforth is the daughter of Reverend Edmund Garforth.1 She married Reverend Robert Elliot, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Gilbert Elliot of Minto, 3rd Bt. and Agnes Dalrymple-Murray-Kynynmound, on 9 April 1788.1
     From 9 April 1788, her married name became Elliot.1

     Maj.-Gen. Minto Elliot was born on 26 September 1833.1 He was the son of Edward Eden Elliot and Anne Harrison.1 He married Amelia Martin, daughter of Thomas George Martin, on 2 February 1857.1 He died on 14 March 1909 at age 75, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1
