     Eleanor Stratten Curtis was born on 5 November 1827.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Curtis.¹ She married Reverend John Thomas Layard, son of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary, on 31 October 1850.¹ She died on 8 February 1880 at age 52.¹
     From 31 October 1850, her married name became Layard.¹
