     Elizabeth Sproat Maitland is the daughter of Robert Maitland and Elizabeth Sproat Lenox.¹

     Janet Lenox Maitland was born on 22 August 1816.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Maitland and Elizabeth Sproat Lenox.¹

     John Maitland was born on 5 September 1769.¹ He was the son of David Maitland of Barcaple and Mary Currie.¹ He died on 24 December 1769.¹

     William Maitland was born on 31 October 1770.¹ He was the son of David Maitland of Barcaple and Mary Currie.¹ He married Matilda Douglas, daughter of James Douglas of Orchardton.¹ He died on 4 August 1842 at age 71 at Gilston Castle.¹

     Matilda Douglas is the daughter of James Douglas of Orchardton.¹ She married William Maitland, son of David Maitland of Barcaple and Mary Currie.¹
     Her married name became Maitland.¹

     John Maitland was born on 23 July 1774.¹ He was the son of David Maitland of Barcaple and Mary Currie.¹ He died on 14 December 1801 at age 27 at India, killed in action, unmarried.¹
     He was with the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     David Hunter married Agnes Maitland, daughter of David Maitland of Barcaple and Mary Currie, in February 1791.¹

     Jane Maitland was born on 25 May 1766.¹ She was the daughter of David Maitland of Barcaple and Mary Currie.¹ She married Patrick Campbell in 1800.¹
     From 1800, her married name became Campbell.¹
