Ann Chesney was the daughter of John Chesney.1 She married Sir Michael Anthony Eardley Dummett, son of George Herbert Dummett and Mabel Iris Eardley-Wilmot, in 1951.1 She died on 7 February 2012.1
She was educated at Somerville College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 From 1951, her married name became Dummett.1 She wrote the book A Portrait Of English Racism, published 1973.2
