     Lt.-Col. Frederick Clinton was born on 28 August 1804.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Henry Clinton and Hon. Louisa Dorothea Holroyd.² He married Mary Margaret Montagu-Scott, daughter of Henry James Montagu-Scott, 2nd Baron Montagu of Boughton and Hon. Jane Margaret Douglas, on 9 July 1840.¹ He died on 9 November 1870 at age 66.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     Jane Caroline Montagu-Scott was born on 2 August 1808. She was the daughter of Henry James Montagu-Scott, 2nd Baron Montagu of Boughton and Hon. Jane Margaret Douglas. She died on 16 June 1846 at age 37, unmarried.

     Henry Renebald Clinton was born on 23 March 1841.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Clinton and Mary Margaret Montagu-Scott.² He died in 1916.¹

     Walter Laurence Clinton was born on 18 May 1883.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Osbert Clinton and Margaret Eliot.² He died on 22 November 1918 at age 35, unmarried.¹
