     Sir Michael Aubrey Hamilton was born on 5 July 1918.³ He was the son of Rt. Rev. Eric Knightley Chetwode Hamilton and Jessie Cassels.⁴ He married Lavinia Rosalind Ponsonby, daughter of Colonel Sir Charles Edward Ponsonby, 1st Bt. and Hon. Winifred Marian Gibbs, on 16 May 1947.¹ He died on 3 July 2000 at age 81 at Chichester, Sussex, England.^5,2
     He was educated at Radley College, Radley, Oxfordshire, England.³ He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.³ He fought in the Second World War.³ He gained the rank of Captain|Coldstream Guards.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wellingborough between 1959 and 1964.¹ He held the office of a Lord Commissioner of Treasurer between 1962 and 1964.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Salisbury in 1965.³ He was Director of Army & Navy Stores Ltd and Hospital Marketing Board.³ He held the office of U.K. Representative to U.N. General Assembly in 1970.³ He was appointed Knight in 1983.⁵
