Stanley Digby Murray was born on 8 November 1920.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Archibald Digby Murray and Rosamund Davey.2 He died on 17 April 1943 at age 22 at Far East, killed in action.1

Colonel Kenelm Digby Bold Murray was born on 30 October 1879.1 He was the son of Colonel Kenelm Digby Murray and Caroline Thomson.2 He married Gwendolen de Wolf, daughter of Thomas Andrew de Wolf, on 25 November 1911.1 He died on 3 February 1947 at age 67.1
He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1933.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Master of Arts (M.A.) by Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1934.1
