Sir Archibald Murray of Blackbarony, 7th Bt. was the son of Sir William Murray of Blackbarony, 5th Bt. and Jean Allan.2 He married Mary Moorhead on 4 May 1760.1 He married, secondly, unknown wife (?) on 27 May 1784.1 He died on 23 June 1794, having by his 1st wife had, with another son and two daughters (died young):.1
He lived Blackbarony.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Murray, of Blackbarony, co. Peebles [N.S., 1628] on 4 October 1781.1

Sir John Murray of Blackbarony, 8th Bt. was born in 1766.1 He was the son of Sir Archibald Murray of Blackbarony, 7th Bt. and Mary Moorhead.2 He married Anne Digby, daughter of John Digby, on 3 November 1791.1 He died on 30 August 1809.1
He gained the rank of Officer in the 46th Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Murray, of Blackbarony, co. Peebles [N.S., 1628] on 23 June 1794.1
