Anthony Milburn was born on 28 September 1891.1 He was the son of Sir John Davidson Milburn, 1st Bt. and Clara Georgiana Stamp.2 He married, firstly, Dorothy Lilian Wailes-Fairbairn, daughter of Major William Fairbairn Wailes-Fairbairn, on 28 November 1916.1 He and Dorothy Lilian Wailes-Fairbairn were divorced in 1930.1 He married, secondly, Vera Doris Madeline Barrett, daughter of Robert Bell Barrett and Frances Madeleine Robinson, on 8 March 1932.1 He died on 5 October 1941 at age 50.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1914 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Yorkshire Hussars Yeomanry.1
