     Colonel Walter Bentley Marling was born on 4 April 1854.¹ He was the son of Sir Samuel Stephens Marling, 1st Bt. and Margaret Williams Cartwright.² He married Mary Isabella Cunynghame Baker, daughter of Colonel Robert Broome Baker, on 3 August 1880.¹ He died on 28 January 1941 at age 86.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain and Adjutant in the 1st Battalion, Royal Ulster Rifles.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire.¹ He lived at Domus, Broadstairs, Kent, England.¹

     Kit Stewart-Lockhart was born circa 1923.¹ He died on 11 May 2007.¹

     Mary Isabella Cunynghame Baker was the daughter of Colonel Robert Broome Baker.² She married Colonel Walter Bentley Marling, son of Sir Samuel Stephens Marling, 1st Bt. and Margaret Williams Cartwright, on 3 August 1880.¹ She died on 14 September 1933.¹
     From 3 August 1880, her married name became Marling.

     Elspeth Katharina Marling is the daughter of Colonel Walter Bentley Marling and Mary Isabella Cunynghame Baker.² She married Captain Norman Tyrer, son of William Tyrer, on 5 June 1915.¹
     From 5 June 1915, her married name became Tyrer.

     William Tyrer lived at St. Mary's Lodge, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.¹

     Captain Norman Tyrer is the son of William Tyrer.² He married Elspeth Katharina Marling, daughter of Colonel Walter Bentley Marling and Mary Isabella Cunynghame Baker, on 5 June 1915.¹
     He lived at Ramley, Hampshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Bedfordshire Regiment.¹
