Captain Neil Campbell of Duntroon was born on 16 April 1734.2 He was the son of James Campbell of Duntroon and Oib and Mary Fisher.3 He was baptised on 19 April 1734.2 He married Jean Campbell on 24 November 1772.3 A contract for the marriage of Captain Neil Campbell of Duntroon and Matilda Campbell was signed on 9 May 1760.2 He died on 12 July 1791 at age 57.2
He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Regiment North British Fusiliers.2
