John Roy Macnab was the son of Finlay Macnab of Macnab, 12th Chief and unknown wife (?)2 He married Janet Campbell, daughter of Sir James Campbell, 4th of Lawers.1 He died in 1645, killed guarding the garrison of Garth Castle.1
He was Servitor and Baillie of Sir James Campbell, 4th of Lawers.1 He was also known as John Baine Macnab.1

Archibald Macnab was the son of John Roy Macnab and Janet Campbell.2 He married, firstly, Isobel Anderson, daughter of William Anderson.1 He married, secondly, Marie Carmichael.1 He died in 1697.1
He gained the rank of Ensign in 1672 in the Earl of Atholl's Regiment.2 In 1674 he had a feu of Mullion in Redgorton from Sir John Drummond of Logiealmond.1 Before 1678 he inherited the devastated lands in Carie and Carwhin and obtained a tack of Innercochell and Denshaugh in Strathbraan from Sir Thomas Stewart of Grantully.1
