Sir Thomas Mackworth, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Henry Mackworth, 2nd Bt. and Mary Hopton.2 He married, firstly, Dorothy Darell, daughter of Captain George Darell.1 He married, secondly, Anne Mackworth, daughter of Humphrey Mackworth and Anne Waller.1 He died in November 1694.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Mackworth [E., 1619] in August 1640.1 In March 1647/48 he was fined as a royalist.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Rutland from 1666 to 1667.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rutland between 1679 and 1694.1
