     William Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 4th of Rammerscales was born on 20 June 1884.¹ He was the son of Major William Bell Macdonald, 3rd of Rammerscales and Violet Frances Rutherford.² He married Nora Millicent Hebden, daughter of Edward Field Hebden, on 18 January 1913.¹ He died on 26 March 1955 at age 70.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹ He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919, with Canadian Engineers.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dumfriesshire.¹

     Edward Field Hebden was a banker at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.¹

     Nora Millicent Hebden was the daughter of Edward Field Hebden.² She married William Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 4th of Rammerscales, son of Major William Bell Macdonald, 3rd of Rammerscales and Violet Frances Rutherford, on 18 January 1913.¹ She died on 2 August 1960.¹
     From 18 January 1913, her married name became Macdonald.

     Alan Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 5th of Rammerscales was born on 31 March 1914.¹ He was the son of William Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 4th of Rammerscales and Nora Millicent Hebden.² He married, firstly, Frances Mary Hudson, daughter of Reverend Arthur Reginald Hudson and Mary Frances Birch, on 28 October 1939.¹ He and Frances Mary Hudson were divorced.¹ He married, secondly, Rhoda Mary Adair Thunder, daughter of Colonel Julian Thunder, on 26 June 1954.³ He died before 28 November 2009.³
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹ He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a practising solicitor.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, in Royal Air Force.¹ He was with the JAG's Department between 1945 and 1947.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 25 September 1973.¹

     Reverend Arthur Reginald Hudson was born on 6 July 1856 at India.² He was the son of William James Hudson and Mary Martha Burnside.² He married Mary Frances Birch in 1887 at Toxteth Park, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.²
     He was Rector at Huntsham, Devon, England.¹

     From 28 October 1939, her married name became Macdonald.

     Malcolm Adair Macdonald, 6th of Rammerscales was born on 29 March 1955.¹ He is the son of Alan Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 5th of Rammerscales and Frances Mary Hudson.²
     He was educated at Aiglon College, Chesières-Villars, Switzerland^G.¹

     Miranda Clare Macdonald was born on 9 September 1956.¹ He is the son of Alan Malcolm Bell Macdonald, 5th of Rammerscales and Frances Mary Hudson.²
