     Anne Whitaker was the daughter of Alfred Whitaker.¹ She married Alexander Godfrey Macdonald, 7th Baron Macdonald of Slate, son of Hon. Godfrey Evan Hugh Bosville Macdonald and Helen Holme Bankes, on 14 June 1945.¹ She died in 1988.¹
     From 14 June 1945, her married name became Macdonald.¹ After her marriage, Anne Whitaker was styled as Baroness Macdonald of Slate on 20 January 1947.

     Godfrey James Macdonald, 8th Baron Macdonald of Slate was born on 28 November 1947.¹ He is the son of Alexander Godfrey Macdonald, 7th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Anne Whitaker.¹ He married Claire Catlow, daughter of Captain Thomas Noel Catlow and Jean Meriel Nuttall, on 14 June 1969.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of the Inverness-shire County Council between 1970 and 1975.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baron Macdonald of Slate, co. Antrim [I., 1776] on 29 November 1970.¹ He held the office of Member of the Skye and Lochalsh District Council between 1975 and 1983.¹

     Hon. Alexander Donald Archibald Macdonald was born on 3 September 1953.¹ He is the son of Alexander Godfrey Macdonald, 7th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Anne Whitaker.¹
     Hon. Alexander Donald Archibald Macdonald usually went by his middle name of Archibald.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹

     Hon. Janet Ann Macdonald of Macdonald was born on 2 November 1946.¹ She is the daughter of Alexander Godfrey Macdonald, 7th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Anne Whitaker.¹

     Captain James Archibald Macdonald was born on 11 December 1911.¹ He was the son of Hon. Godfrey Evan Hugh Bosville Macdonald and Helen Holme Bankes.¹ He died on 22 October 1942 at age 30 at Middle East^G, killed in action.¹
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battaliton, Cameron Highlanders (TA.)¹

     Hon. Archibald Ronald Armadale Bosville Macdonald was born on 20 May 1880.² He was the son of Ronald Archibald Bosville Macdonald, 6th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Jane Hamilton Ross.¹ He died on 17 April 1901 at age 20 at Krugersdorp, South Africa^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 9th Lancers.¹ He fought in the Boer War.²

     Captain Hon. Ronald Ian Bosville Macdonald was born on 1 October 1884.² He was the son of Ronald Archibald Bosville Macdonald, 6th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Jane Hamilton Ross.¹ He married Helen Elizabeth Swinnerton Dyer, daughter of Sir Thomas Swinnerton Dyer, 11th Bt. and Dona Edith McGrigor, on 5 May 1915.³ He died on 17 October 1918 at age 34, while on active service.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Cameron Highlanders.³ He fought in the First World War.² He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.²

     Helen Elizabeth Swinnerton Dyer was the daughter of Sir Thomas Swinnerton Dyer, 11th Bt. and Dona Edith McGrigor.² She married, firstly, Captain Hon. Ronald Ian Bosville Macdonald, son of Ronald Archibald Bosville Macdonald, 6th Baron Macdonald of Slate and Louisa Jane Hamilton Ross, on 5 May 1915.¹ She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Charles John Wallace, son of Lt.-Col. Hugh Robert Wallace of Busbie and Matilda Marion Christie Campbell, on 20 January 1932.¹ She died on 30 April 1966.¹
     From 5 May 1915, her married name became Macdonald. From 20 January 1932, her married name became Wallace.

     Sir Thomas Swinnerton Dyer, 11th Bt. was born on 3 October 1859.¹ He was the son of Sir Swinnerton Halliday Dyer, 10th Bt. and Helen Maria Croker.^1,2 He married Dona Edith McGrigor, daughter of Sir Charles Rhoderic McGrigor, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Anne Nickle, on 21 January 1886.¹ He died on 23 August 1907 at age 47.¹
     He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Dyer, of Tottenham, co. Middlesex [E., 1678] on 16 March 1882.¹
