     David John Napier Edward Yorke was born on 17 October 1919.1 He was the son of Hon. Claude John Yorke and Fay Zarifi.2 He married, firstly, Anne Margaret Mackail, daughter of Denis George Mackail, on 2 February 1950.1 He married, secondly, June Rose Charlotte Rachel Gurney, daughter of Daniel Walter Thomas Gurney and Charlotte Edith Annette Troubridge, in 1990.1 He died on 12 July 1997 at age 77.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1949 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Sussex in 1965.1
