     Sir Richard Byam Martin, 5th Bt. was born on 28 April 1841 at Abbotts Ann, Hampshire, England.² He was the son of Admiral Sir William Fanshawe Martin, 4th Bt. and Sophia Elizabeth Hurt.¹ He married Catherine Knipe, daughter of William Beaumaris Knipe and Elizabeth Charlotte Cregoe-Colmore, on 20 July 1869 at Egg Buckland, Devon, England.² He died on 28 February 1910 at age 68 at 7 The Esplanade, Plymouth, Devon, England.²
     He gained the title of 5th Baronet Martin.

     Captain George Mathew Jones was born in 1785.¹ He was the son of John Jones and Mary Roberts.² He died in 1831 at Malta.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Harry David Jones was born on 14 March 1792.¹ He was the son of John Jones and Mary Roberts.² He married Charlotte Hornsby, daughter of Reverend Thomas Hornsby, in 1824.¹ He died on 4 August 1866 at age 74.¹
     He fought in the Walcheran Expedition in 1809.¹ He fought in the Peninsula War.¹ He fought in the War of 1812 between 1814 and 1815, in the New Orleans Campaign.¹ He was Governor at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Crimean War, Commanding Engineer at the Siege of Sebastopol.¹ He was Lieutenant-General and Colonel of the Royal Engineers in 1854.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹

     Charlotte Hornsby was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Hornsby.² She married Lt.-Gen. Sir Harry David Jones, son of John Jones and Mary Roberts, in 1824.¹ She died on 16 October 1880.¹
     From 1824, her married name became Jones.
