Helena Ramsey Cox was the daughter of Henry Ramsey Cox.2 She married Sir John Bennet Lawes-Wittewronge, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Charles Bennet Lawes-Wittewronge, 2nd Bt. and Marie Amelie Rose Fountaine, in 1897.1 She died on 10 January 1961.1

Sir John Claud Lawes, 4th Bt. was born on 9 September 1898.1 He was the son of Sir John Bennet Lawes-Wittewronge, 3rd Bt. and Helena Ramsey Cox.2 He married, firstly, Kathleen Marjorie Livingstone Hodgson, daughter of Gerald Augustus Tylston Hodgson and Kate Agnes L. Livingstone, on 5 June 1928 at Marylebone, London, England.1,3 He married, secondly, Naomi Constance Helen Badnall, daughter of Lancelot Wykeham Badnall, on 26 October 1938.1 He died on 9 December 1979 at age 81.1
He was given the name of John Claud Lawes-Wittewronge at birth.1 He was educated at Blundell's School, Tiverton, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery (SR.)1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Lawes, of Rothamsted, co. Hertford [U.K., 1882] on 8 September 1931.1 On 30 October 1951 his name was legally changed to John Claud Lawes by Deed Poll.1

Sydney Vernon Lawes-Wittewronge was born in 1906.1 He was the son of Sir John Bennet Lawes-Wittewronge, 3rd Bt. and Helena Ramsey Cox.2 He married Esmé Biddulph, daughter of E. A. Biddulph, in 1929.1 He and Esmé Biddulph were divorced in 1933.1 He died on 15 August 1955, without issue.1
