Reverend Peter Balfour was born on 14 September 1794.1 He was the son of Reverend James Balfour and Christian Foggo.2 He married Jane Ramsay Blair, daughter of John Blair, on 22 January 1833.1 He died on 18 March 1862 at age 67.1
He was successively Minister of Evie in Orkney, Tealing, Forfar and Clackmannan.1
