Admiral Sir Charles Frederick Hotham was born on 20 March 1843.1 He was the son of John Hotham and Maria Elizabeth Thompson.1 He married Margaret Milne-Home, daughter of David Milne-Home of Wedderburn, on 29 February 1872.1 He died on 22 March 1925 at age 82.1

Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 9th Bt. was born on 17 March 1803.2 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Sir William Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 8th Bt. and Sarah Morley.2 He married, firstly, Juliana Barbara Howard, daughter of Lord Henry Thomas Howard-Molyneux-Howard and Elizabeth Long, on 7 July 1831.1 He married, secondly, Lady Jane Elizabeth Howard, daughter of Thomas Howard, 16th Earl of Suffolk and Hon. Elizabeth Jane Dutton, on 5 April 1836.2 He died on 29 March 1890 at age 87.2
