Sir Fenton George Hort, 7th Bt. was born on 1 May 1896.1 He was the son of Sir Arthur Fenton Hort, 6th Bt. and Helen Frances Bell.2 He married Lucy Rachel Gwendolene Alcock, daughter of Sir Walter Galpin Alcock and Naomi Blanche Lucas, on 2 September 1922.1 He died on 5 March 1960 at age 63.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He fought in the First World War, with the Royal Engineers.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Hort, of Castle Strange, co. Middlesex [G.B., 1767] on 7 March 1935.1
