     John Griffin was born circa 1454.2 He was the son of Nicholas Griffin and Catherine Curzon.2 He married Emmote Wheathill, daughter of Richard Wheathill, before 20 July 1473.2 He died on 26 September 1485.2
     He succeeded as the 9th Lord Latimer, of Braybrook, Northamptonshire [E., 1299] on 6 June 1482, de jure.3 He lived at Braybrooke, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.1

     Emmote Wheathill is the daughter of Richard Wheathill.1 She married John Griffin, son of Nicholas Griffin and Catherine Curzon, before 20 July 1473.2
     From before 20 July 1473, her married name became Griffin.2
