     Colonel Arthur Henry Wavell was born on 12 June 1836.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Arthur Goodall Wavell and Anne Paxton.1 He married Matilda Clara Beatrice Byng, daughter of Reverend John Byng and Williamina Hebe Morice, on 14 January 1880.1 He died on 16 January 1891 at age 54.1
     He fought in the Crimean War between 1855 and 1856.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1880.1

     Jemima Frederica Norris was born circa 1824 at Froxfield, Hampshire, England.1 She was the daughter of Richard Norris and Frederica Elizabeth Sophia Gambier.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Arthur Comyn Pigou, son of William George Pigou and Jane Mildred Smith, circa 1853.1 She died on 10 March 1883 at Isle of Wight, England.1
     From circa 1853, her married name became Pigou.1

     Arthur John Byng Wavell was born on 27 May 1882.1 He was the son of Colonel Arthur Henry Wavell and Matilda Clara Beatrice Byng.1 He died on 8 January 1916 at age 33 at Mwele, British East Africa, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1 He travelled to Mecca (in disguise.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He wrote the book A Modern Pilgrim to Mecca.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Captain Raymond George Wavell-Paxton was born on 2 February 1884.2 He was the son of Colonel Arthur Henry Wavell and Matilda Clara Beatrice Byng.2 He married Olive Louise Lawson, daughter of Sir Arthur Tredgold Lawson, 1st Bt. and Louise Frederica Edith Auguste O'Brien, on 14 April 1921.2 He died on 31 March 1948 at age 64.2
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1904 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He fought in the officer between 1914 and 1921, Coldstream Guards.2

     Olive Louise Lawson was the daughter of Sir Arthur Tredgold Lawson, 1st Bt. and Louise Frederica Edith Auguste O'Brien.1,2 She married Captain Raymond George Wavell-Paxton, son of Colonel Arthur Henry Wavell and Matilda Clara Beatrice Byng, on 14 April 1921.1 She died on 23 October 1951.1
     From 14 April 1921, her married name became Wavell-Paxton.1

     Sir Arthur Tredgold Lawson, 1st Bt. was born on 8 February 1844.1 He was the son of John Lawson and Sarah Baker.2 He married Louise Frederica Edith Auguste O'Brien, daughter of John Stacpoole O'Brien, on 25 June 1879.1 He died on 1 June 1915 at age 71.1
     He was chairamn of Fairbairn Lawson Combe Barbour Ltd.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 He was director of Yorkshire Post and GER.1 He was created 1st Baronet Lawson, of Westwood Grange, West Riding of co. Yorks [U.K.] on 12 July 1900.1
