     Charles Mervyn Doyne was born on 27 September 1839.2 He was the son of Robert Stephen Doyne and Sarah Emily Tynte Pratt.3 He married Frances Mary FitzWilliam, daughter of William Thomas Spencer Fitzwilliam, 6th Earl Fitzwilliam and Lady Frances Harriet Douglas, on 18 November 1867.2 He died on 24 August 1924 at age 84.4
     He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wexford in 1873.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Carlow in 1875.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Wells, County Wexford, IrelandG.1

Arthur Edward Dalzell, 13th Earl of Carnwath1

     Arthur Edward Dalzell, 13th Earl of Carnwath was born on 25 December 1851.2 He was the son of Colonel Hon. Robert Alexander George Dalzell and Sarah Bushby Harris.3 He married Muriel Wyndham Knatchbull, daughter of Colonel Norton Knatchbull and Elizabeth Florence Paxton Wavell, on 4 December 1902.1 He died on 9 March 1941 at age 89, without surviving male issue.1,3
     He fought in the Burma War between 1891 and 1892.2 He was Colonel of the 52nd Light Infantry between 1892 and 1896.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1900.2 He fought in the Boer War.2 He was awarded the Commander, Order of St. Nento Avis of Portugal.2 He fought in the First World War, raising the 12th Service Battalion, Cheshire Regiment.2 He was commanding officer of the 207th Brigade between 1915 and 1916.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1917.2 He succeeded as the 13th Earl of Carnwath [S., 1639] on 11 July 1931.3 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1935 and 1941.2
     On his death, his earldom became dormant.3

     Muriel Wyndham Knatchbull was the daughter of Colonel Norton Knatchbull and Elizabeth Florence Paxton Wavell.1 She married Arthur Edward Dalzell, 13th Earl of Carnwath, son of Colonel Hon. Robert Alexander George Dalzell and Sarah Bushby Harris, on 4 December 1902.1 She died on 5 July 1958.1
     From 4 December 1902, her married name became Dalzell. After her marriage, Muriel Wyndham Knatchbull was styled as Countess of Carnwath on 11 July 1931.

     Lt.-Col. John Norton Taylor was born in 1897 at Boscombe, Hampshire, England.1 He was the son of James Slade-Gully and Eleanor Louisa Slade-Gully.1 He married Lady Muriel Marjorie Dalzell, daughter of Arthur Edward Dalzell, 13th Earl of Carnwath and Muriel Wyndham Knatchbull, on 18 January 1927.2 He died in 1957.1
     He was given the name of John Norton Taylor at birth.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.2 On 18 January 1927 his name was legally changed to John Norton Dalzell by Royal Licence.2

Lady Charlotte Emma Maud Dalzell1

     Lady Charlotte Emma Maud Dalzell was born in 1859. She was the daughter of Colonel Hon. Robert Alexander George Dalzell and Sarah Bushby Harris.1 She married Colonel Sir Lancelot Rolleston, son of Colonel Lancelot Rolleston and Eleanor Charlotte Fraser, on 25 February 1882.1
     From 25 February 1882, her married name became Rolleston. In 1889 she was granted the rank of an earl's daughter.2 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottinghamshire.2 She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1

     Colonel Sir Lancelot Rolleston was born in 1847.2 He was the son of Colonel Lancelot Rolleston and Eleanor Charlotte Fraser.3 He married Lady Charlotte Emma Maud Dalzell, daughter of Colonel Hon. Robert Alexander George Dalzell and Sarah Bushby Harris, on 25 February 1882.1
