He was educated at Drogheda Grammar School, Drogheda, County Louth, IrelandG.1 He was educated at Royal Veterinary College, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (M.R.C.V.S.) in 1913.1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He retired from the military in 1920, with the rank of Captain, late of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.1 He was a veterinary surgeon between 1920 and 1921 at Buenos Aires, Argentina.1 He was Major Domo of the Estancia of Albion Land Company between 1921 and 1925 at Vedia, Argentina.1 He was Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer, Ministry of Agriculture, Northern Ireland between 1932 and 1956.1 He was Tech Expert Food & Agriculture Organisation of UN in Venezuela and Peru between 1956 and 1958.1 He lived in 1976 at 120 Barnett's Road, Knock, Belfast, County Antrim, IrelandG.1
