     Major John Richard Greene was born on 6 March 1911 at St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex, England.^2,3 He was the son of George Watters Greene and Priscilla Clapham.² He married Mary Pierrepont Wyatt on 11 October 1949 at Kensington, London, England.³ He died on 25 June 1992 at age 81 at Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, England.³
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.³
