Lt.-Col. Sir Edward Hoblyn Warren Bolitho was born on 20 April 1882 at Paddington, London, England.1 He was the son of Captain Edward Alverne Bolitho and Catharine Johns Bolitho.2 He married, firstly, Agnes Johnson, daughter of G. Randall Johnson and Lucy Russell, on 16 October 1914.1 He married, secondly, Sheila Desirée Bourne, daughter of Rt. Hon. Robert Croft Bourne and Lady Hester Margaret Cairns, on 13 September 1950.1
