Manliffe Francis Goodbody was born on 20 November 1868.1 He was the son of Marcus Goodbody and Hannah Woodcock Perry.2 He married Margarita Howat Mathieson, daughter of Kenneth Mathieson, on 22 November 1904.1 He died on 24 March 1916 at age 47, killed in action in H.M.S. Sussex when it was torpedoed in English Channel.1
