     Charlotte Valerie Hobson is the daughter of John Hobson.2 She married John Anthony Holroyd Gibbon, son of John Holroyd Gibbon and Sheila Maud Phair, on 3 April 1965.1
     Charlotte Valerie Hobson usually went by her middle name of Valerie.3 From 3 April 1965, her married name became Gibbon.

     John Gibbon was born in 1736/37.1 He was the son of John Gibbons and Mary Lloyd.1 He married Mary Whitten, daughter of Edward Whitten, on 8 August 1768.1 He died on 12 January 1819, with other issue.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the a Corps of Yeomanry.1 He lived at Coldross, County Wicklow, IrelandG.1

     He was biographer and literary executor of Edward Gibbon.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1737 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1740 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2

     Mary Whitten was born circa 1740.1 She was the daughter of Edward Whitten.1 She married John Gibbon, son of John Gibbons and Mary Lloyd, on 8 August 1768.1 She died on 20 January 1820.1
