     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was Head of the Natural History Department, Sotheby & Company.¹

     Thomas Garde was born in 1807.¹ He was the son of Henry Prendegast Garde and Catherine Hoare.¹ He died in 1897.¹

     Edward Hoare Garde was born in 1821.¹ He was the son of Henry Prendegast Garde and Catherine Hoare.¹ He married Eleanor Davies Baker, daughter of Colonel William Massy Baker and Mary Towgood Davies, on 3 August 1843, they had issue.² He died in 1881.¹

     Emma Mary Louisa Lambert was the daughter of Alexander Clendenning Lambert and Emma Maria Prendergast.² She died on 11 September 1898, unmarried.¹

     Flora Marion Lambert was the daughter of Alexander Clendenning Lambert and Emma Maria Prendergast.² She died on 8 March 1940, unmarried.¹

     Louisa Matilda Lambert was the daughter of Alexander Clendenning Lambert and Emma Maria Prendergast.² She died on 20 December 1917, unmarried.¹

     Florence Amy Lambert was the daughter of Alexander Clendenning Lambert and Emma Maria Prendergast.² She married Harvey Trewythen Brabazon Combe, son of Boyce Harvey Combe, on 14 December 1882.¹ She died on 14 February 1951.¹
     From 14 December 1882, her married name became Combe.
