     Colonel William Massy Baker was born circa 1759.³ He was the son of Godfrey Baker and Elizabeth Cossart.⁴ He married Mary Towgood Davies, daughter of Reverend Richard Davies, on 19 February 1807.⁴ He died on 12 November 1829.⁴
