He was created 1st Vizconde de Santa Clara in 1891.1 He was an archeaologist. He was discoverer of the tomb of Queen Khamerernebty II (the Galarza Tomb) between 1907 and 1908 at Giza, EgyptG.1 He was a philosophy teacher in Arabic language between 1913 and 1920 at Cairo University, Cairo, EgyptG.1
