Sir Sydney James O'Bryen Hoare, 6th Bt. was born on 2 July 1860.1 He was the son of Sir Joseph Wallis O'Bryen Hoare, 5th Bt. and Cecilia Eleanor Selina Ede.2 He married, firstly, Mabel Taylor, daughter of Major O'Bryen Taylor, on 16 June 1896.1 He married, secondly, Mona Gwendoline Taylor, daughter of Captain John Pitt Taylor, on 8 February 1917.1 He died on 8 October 1933 at age 73.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd/5th Battalion, East Surrey Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Hoare, of Annabella, co. Cork [I., 1784] on 30 April 1904.1

Mabel Taylor was the daughter of Major O'Bryen Taylor.2 She married Sir Sydney James O'Bryen Hoare, 6th Bt., son of Sir Joseph Wallis O'Bryen Hoare, 5th Bt. and Cecilia Eleanor Selina Ede, on 16 June 1896.1 She died on 12 May 1916.1
