Robert William Hare and Helen Mary Atkinson.2 She married Sir Geoffrey Hithersay Shakespeare, 1st Bt., son of Reverend John Howard Shakespeare and Amy Gertrude Goodman, on 29 February 1952.2 She died on 22 September 1999 at age 85, without issue.1
She was Section Officer, Women's Auxiliary Air Force. During the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 She was awarded the U.S. Bronze Star.1 From 29 February 1952, her married name became Shakespeare.

Sir Geoffrey Hithersay Shakespeare, 1st Bt. was born on 23 September 1893.2 He is the son of Reverend John Howard Shakespeare and Amy Gertrude Goodman.2 He married, firstly, Aimée Constance Loveridge, daughter of Walter Loveridge, on 16 September 1926.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Hare, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Robert William Hare and Helen Mary Atkinson, on 29 February 1952.2 He died in 1980.2
