     Desmond James Conrad Ackner, Baron Ackner was born on 18 September 1920 at 90 Highbury New Park, London, England^G.² He was the son of Dr. Conrad Adolph Ackner and Rosina Rhoda Tuck.^1,3 He married Joan Evans, daughter of John Evans, in 1946.¹ He died on 20 March 2006 at age 85.⁴

     Joan Evans was the daughter of John Evans.¹ She married, firstly, K. B. Spence before 1943.¹ She married, secondly, Desmond James Conrad Ackner, Baron Ackner, son of Dr. Conrad Adolph Ackner and Rosina Rhoda Tuck, in 1946.¹ She died on 8 May 2010.²
     From before 1943, her married name became Spence.¹ From 1946, her married name became Ackner.¹ After her marriage, Joan Evans was styled as Baroness Ackner in 1986.
