     Alfred William Hickman was born on 10 March 1851 at Bliston, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England.¹ He was the son of Sir Alfred Hickman, 1st Bt. and Lucy Owen Smith.² He married Mary Whitby Hickin, daughter of William Hickin, on 30 April 1879.¹ He died on 21 August 1902 at age 51.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffordshire.¹ He lived at Goldthorn Hill, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England.¹

     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hickman, of Wightwick, Tettenhall, co. Staffs [U.K., 1903] on 11 March 1910.¹ He fought in the First World War, in France, and was wounded.² He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th/7th Dragoon Guards.² He gained the rank of Major in the Shropshire Yeomanry (TA.)²

     William Christie Hickman was born on 23 March 1888.¹ He was the son of Alfred William Hickman and Mary Whitby Hickin.² He married Elizabeth Mumford, daughter of Frederick A. Mumford, on 28 April 1912.¹ He died on 1 July 1916 at age 28, killed in action.³
