Dame Katherine Jane Trefusis Forbes was born on 21 March 1899.1 She was the daughter of Edmund Batten Forbes and Charlotte Agnes Wauchope.2 She married Sir Robert Alexander Watson-Watt, son of Patrick Watson Watt, on 10 March 1966.1 She died on 18 June 1971 at age 72, without issue.1
She was Air Chief Commandant of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force.1 She was Director of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force between 1939 and 1943.1 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1944.1 She was with the Control Commission, Germany between 1946 and 1948.1 From 10 March 1966, her married name became Watson-Watt.
