Lt.-Col. Charles Francis Hawkins was born on 1 May 1881.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Halford Hawkins and Susan Haughton.2 He married Ethel Lucy Carrie Thomas, daughter of Edmund Joel Thomas, on 3 January 1906.1 He died on 12 August 1950 at age 69.1
He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Tank Corps.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1

Major Edmund John Edward Hawkins was born on 29 September 1883.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Halford Hawkins and Susan Haughton.2 He married, firstly, Gladys Agnes Wilson, daughter of Colonel E W Wilson, in 1910.1 He and Gladys Agnes Wilson were divorced in 1919.1 He married, secondly, Eileen Marion Loughnan, daughter of Andrew J. Loughnan, on 20 October 1924.1 He died on 3 September 1962 at age 78.1
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, in the 5th RI Lancers and Royal Flying Corps.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 25th Cavalry Field Force, Indian Army.1
