     Brodrick William Hartwell was born on 23 October 1899.¹ He was the son of Frederick Edward Hartwell and Susan Mary Ann Green.¹

     Edith Elizabeth Fosdyke was the daughter of F. W. Fosdyke.¹ She married General John Redmond Hartwell, son of Sydney Charles Elphinstone Hartwell and Jeannette Marion Jenkins, on 22 September 1946.¹
     From 22 September 1946, her married name became Hartwell.

     Hazel Hay Benton was the daughter of Sir John Benton.² She married, firstly, R. C. C. Liston.¹ She married, secondly, General John Redmond Hartwell, son of Sydney Charles Elphinstone Hartwell and Jeannette Marion Jenkins, on 5 April 1929.¹ She died on 5 March 1945.¹
     Her married name became Liston.¹ From 5 April 1929, her married name became Hartwell.

     John Maclean Hartwell was born on 10 June 1902.¹ He is the son of Frederick Edward Hartwell and Susan Mary Ann Green.¹

     George Rollen Hartwell was born on 4 August 1905.¹ He is the son of Frederick Edward Hartwell and Susan Mary Ann Green.¹

     Commander Barry Benton Hartwell was born on 19 January 1933.¹ He was the son of General John Redmond Hartwell and Hazel Hay Benton.² He married, firstly, Lois Maureen Bratt, daughter of Captain Eric C. Bratt, on 11 August 1956.¹ He and Lois Maureen Bratt were divorced in 1968.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Linley Underwood, daughter of John James Linley Underwood and Kathleen D. Leah, in 1970.¹ He died in 1992.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Lois Maureen Bratt is the daughter of Captain Eric C. Bratt.² She married Commander Barry Benton Hartwell, son of General John Redmond Hartwell and Hazel Hay Benton, on 11 August 1956.¹ She and Commander Barry Benton Hartwell were divorced in 1968.¹
     From 11 August 1956, her married name became Hartwell.

     Karen Fiona Hartwell was born on 1 May 1961.¹ She is the daughter of Commander Barry Benton Hartwell and Lois Maureen Bratt.² She married, firstly, Nicholas Paul Baker in 1987.¹ She married, secondly, Rupert Birch, son of Lionel Birch and Venetia Murray, on 17 December 2010.³
     From 1987, her married name became Baker. She lived in 2003 at The Dower House, Longwood, Owslebury, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ From 17 December 2010, her married name became Birch.³
