Reverend John Hanmer was born on 28 February 1784.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Hanmer, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Kenyon.2 He married Catherine Whichcote, daughter of Sir Thomas Whichcote, 5th Bt. and Diana Turnor, on 19 September 1816.1 He died on 4 October 1850 at age 66.1
