He married Margareta von Ravensberg, daughter of Otto IV Graf von Ravensberg und Westfalen and Margaretha von Berg, circa 1344.² He died on 18 May 1360 at Dusseldorf, Germany, in a tournament.²
     He gained the title of Herzog von Jülich. He succeeded as the Graf von Ravensburg in 1346.¹ He was created Graf von Berg in 1348.¹

     Margareta von Ravensberg was born in 1320.¹ She was the daughter of Otto IV Graf von Ravensberg und Westfalen and Margaretha von Berg. She married Gerhard VI Herzog von Jülich, son of Wilhelm I Herzog von Jülich and Jeanne d'Avesnes, circa 1344.² She died on 18 March 1384.¹

     Elisabeth von Jülich-Berg was born in 1342 at Arnsberg, Germany.¹ She was the daughter of Gerhard VI Herzog von Jülich and Margareta von Ravensberg. She married Heinrich VI 'Ferreus' Graf von Waldeck before 16 December 1363. She died on 6 May 1388.¹

     Heinrich VI 'Ferreus' Graf von Waldeck was born in 1340 at Lüneburg, Germany.¹ He married Elisabeth von Jülich-Berg, daughter of Gerhard VI Herzog von Jülich and Margareta von Ravensberg, before 16 December 1363. He died on 16 February 1397 at Castle Waldeck, Waldeck, Germany.¹
     He gained the title of Graf von Waldeck.

     Matilde von Jülich was born in 1237.¹ She was the daughter of Wilhelm IV Graf von Jülich and Margareta van Gelre. She married Johan I Graaf van Loon en Chiny in 1250.¹ She died in 1265.¹

     Johan I Graaf van Loon en Chiny was born in 1225.¹ He married Matilde von Jülich, daughter of Wilhelm IV Graf von Jülich and Margareta van Gelre, in 1250.¹ He died in 1279.¹

     Margareta von Jülich was born in 1240.¹ She was the daughter of Wilhelm IV Graf von Jülich and Margareta van Gelre. She married Dietrich V Graf von Katzenelnbogen in 1260.¹ She died on 12 October 1292.¹
