     Eleanor Palmer is the daughter of Humphrey Palmer.² She married William Goulding, son of William Goulding and Sarah Abbott, in 1757.¹

     William Goulding was born on 3 April 1761.¹ He was the son of William Goulding and Eleanor Palmer.³ He married, secondly, Jane Carroll.¹ He married, firstly, Frances Smith, daughter of Joshua Smith, on 14 February 1781.¹ He married, thirdly, Susanna Franck in 1798.¹ He died on 21 September 1824 at age 63.¹
     He had six sons and three daughters (all died young or unmarried.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Roscrea Corps Yeomanry Cavalry.¹
