Anne Boick was the daughter of William Boick.2 She married Sir Thomas Gordon of Earlston and Afton, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Alexander Gordon of Earlston and Afton, 2nd Bt. and Janet Hamilton, on 20 January 1710.1 She died on 8 April 1751.1

Sir John Gordon of Earlston and Afton, 4th Bt. was born on 20 December 1720.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Gordon of Earlston and Afton, 3rd Bt. and Anne Boick.2 He married Anne Mylne, daughter of Thomas Mylne of Powderhall, on 18 April 1775.1 He died on 17 October 1795 at age 74, without issue.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 70th Foot.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Gordon, of Earlston and Afton, co. Kirkcudbright [N.S., 1706] on 23 March 1769.1
