Isobel Ker is the daughter of Sir Thomas Ker of Cavers.2 She married Hugh Scott, 3rd of Gala, son of James Scott, 2nd of Gala and Janet Murray, circa 1670.1

Sir James Scott, 4th of Gala was the son of Hugh Scott, 3rd of Gala and Isobel Ker.2 He married Euphemia Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas, 9th of Cavers and Ann Douglas, in 1693.1 He died after 1721.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Roxburghshire.1

Hugh Scott was the son of Hugh Scott, 3rd of Gala and Isobel Ker.2 He died in 1699, lost aboard the Rising Sun on the Darien Expedition.1
