     Roger Arnold Henderson was born on 22 June 1909.¹ He was the son of Hon. Arnold Henderson and Helen Madeline Gordon.² He married Judith Violet Christine Thornley, daughter of Edmund Thornley, on 4 April 1934.¹ He died on 23 November 1941 at age 32, killed on active service.¹
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹

     Judith Violet Christine Thornley was the daughter of Edmund Thornley.¹ She married, firstly, Roger Arnold Henderson, son of Hon. Arnold Henderson and Helen Madeline Gordon, on 4 April 1934.¹ She married, secondly, Robert Edward Manifold on 12 January 1946.¹ She died in 1966.¹
     From 4 April 1934, her married name became Henderson. From 12 January 1946, her married name became Manifold.¹
