     Major Reginald Stretton Spurrier was born on 27 July 1883 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.² He married Marjorie Meakin, daughter of Lewis James Meakin, on 10 July 1904 at All Saints, Marston on Dove, Derbyshire, England.² He died on 26 January 1949 at age 65 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the King's Dragoon Guards.¹

     Elizabeth Mary Stretton Spurrier is the daughter of Major Reginald Stretton Spurrier and Marjorie Meakin.² She married Sir Derek Quicke Erskine, son of Sir James Malcolm Monteith Erskine and Cicely Grace Quicke, on 21 June 1927.¹

A. Mange, on 7 November 1958.¹ He and Marie Claude Irène Mange were divorced in 1963.¹ He died on 17 August 2013 at age 83 at Sanctuary Farm, Naivasha, Kenya.³
