Elizabeth Scott is the daughter of Sir John Scott of Ancrum.2 She married Sir William Eliott of Stobs, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Gilbert Eliott of Stobs, 1st Bt. and Isabella Cranstoun.1

Sir Gilbert Eliott of Stobs, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir William Eliott of Stobs, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Scott.2 He married Eleanor Elliot, daughter of William Elliot of Wells, on 14 April 1702.1 He died on 27 May 1764.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Eliott, of Stobs [N.S., 1666] on 19 February 1699.1 He had two other sons who died young.1
