Alison Bruce was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. James Bruce, 6th of Kennet and Mary Swinton.2,1 She married George Dundas, 21st of Dundas, son of George Dundas of Dundas and Margaret Hay, on 20 June 1718.1 She died on 31 July 1754.1

Colonel James Dundas, 24th of Dundas was born in 1721.1 He was the son of George Dundas, 21st of Dundas and Alison Bruce.2 He married Hon. Jean Forbes, daughter of William Forbes, 13th Lord Forbes and Dorothy Dale, on 22 April 1748.1 He died in 1780.1
