     Waldo Trench Fox was born on 11 May 1892.¹ He was the son of Frederick Herbert Trench and Lilian Isabel Fox.¹ He married Janet Mary Kennedy Bassett, daughter of MacIvor Bassett, on 1 June 1933.¹ He died on 11 March 1954 at age 61.¹
     He was given the name of Wallace Talbot Trench at birth.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Canadian Militia.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was in the Nigerian Civil Service.¹ On 19 July 1934 his name was legally changed to Waldo Trench Fox by Deed Poll.¹ He held the office of County Councillor for Cornwall.¹

     Janet Mary Kennedy Bassett was the daughter of MacIvor Bassett.¹ She married Waldo Trench Fox, son of Frederick Herbert Trench and Lilian Isabel Fox, on 1 June 1933.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     From 1 June 1933, her married name became Trench-Fox.¹

     Robert Trench Fox was born on 1 January 1937.¹ He is the son of Waldo Trench Fox and Janet Mary Kennedy Bassett.¹ He married Lindsay Garret Anderson, daughter of Sir Donald Forsyth Anderson and Margaret Elaine Llewellyn, on 6 September 1962.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1993.¹ He lived in 1999 at Cheriton House, Alresford, Hampshire, England^G.¹
