Frances Mary Judge was the daughter of Poyntz Judge.2 She married John French, son of John French and Isabella Hamilton, in 1873.1 She died in 1919.1

Lt.-Col. John Poyntz French was born on 4 April 1876.1 He was the son of John French and Frances Mary Judge.2 He married Effie Laura Fenwick, daughter of Kenneth N. Fenwick, on 22 December 1906.1 He died on 2 October 1954 at age 78.1
He was with the Canadian North-West Mounted Police between 1894 and 1899.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901, with 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1901 and 1906 in the South African Constablry.1 He was in Zululand Rebel1ion as Captain Johannesburg Mtd Rifles in 1906.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the PPCLI and 1st Mounted Rifles.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Canadian Army.1 He lived at Fort Qu'Appellle, Canada.1

John Fenwick French was born on 12 September 1907.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Poyntz French and Effie Laura Fenwick.2 He married Marguerite Malloch, daughter of Daniel Malloch, on 8 June 1936.1 He died on 14 November 1984 at age 77 at Kingston, Ontario, Canada.3
